What this means for a buyer
This is a residential site entered on Galway City's statutory register as derelict. It has been on the register since September 2026 under reference 948, which means the council has formally recorded it as neglected rather than simply empty.
Because the building type is residential, the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant may apply — up to €50,000, or €70,000 where the property is confirmed derelict. Eligibility also depends on how long it has been vacant, whether it was built before 2008, and the owner being an individual rather than a company. See every registered derelict and vacant property in County Galway for the wider local picture.
